What families are saying:
“The book is beautiful.” —Christina
“Exploring the World through Cartography has been a big hit, and not just with the Challenge A crowd! It is so visually beautiful, and it's rich in information. Many families with children younger than Challenge have purchased a copy for their home libraries." —Ashley
“Love the separate physical features map located within and the beautiful design.” —Kelly
“This specific book will be treasured for years to come as the benchmark for Classical Conversation's efforts in excellence.” —Wanda
“The Cartography book is a fabulous resource. The students explore each page like going on a treasure hunt. My daughter Lauren says she loves the detail the book gives about the country and capital cities and the quality of each map itself.” —Sylvia
“I personally think it is the best product CC has done yet. I love the simple, clear maps for students to draw and identify.” —Sue
“My Challenge A student appreciates having several maps for each region at her fingertips, rather than having to hunt for one or more atlases to find the information she needs. She finds the pictures to be beautiful, especially the Waterman Butterfly Projection. ...My daughter says the opportunities for integration with the Challenge A curriculum are endless.” —Nancy Dayton / The Old Schoolhouse® Product & Curriculum Reviews
“After looking over the book I am so glad I get the opportunity to use this book with my son this year! It is a beautiful book. It looks not only informative but very engaging for my not so enthusiastic son!” —Tiffany

How to Coax Your New Book to Lay Flat
|Place the book with its back on a table.|
Open the front cover.
Then open the back cover.
Open a few pages in the front, gently pressing along the spine.
Then open a few pages at the back of the book in the same way.
Continue opening pages, alternating between the front and back, until the book is fully open. Gently press along the center spine.
You may need to repeat this process two or three times to limber up the binding. Never force the spine or handle your book roughly as that may break the back and cause pages to (eventually) come loose.
